

Moritz August "MA" Menzdorf was born July 15, 1930 in Hamilton, Texas to Ella Witzsche Menzdorf and William Gustav Menzdorf.
MA married Dorothy Barnett in 1952 and moved to Dallas, Texas. They had two children, Scott and Brenda. MA had a long career with the United States Postal Service, holding many supervisory positions. He retired as a station manager of the Kleberg Post Office in 1986. MA enjoyed playing golf, bird hunting, and listening to country music. He was a member of the North Texas Senior Golf Association and won many tournaments. He worked at the American Airlines Center ticket office selling tickets for the Mavericks and volunteered at Keeton Park Golf Course.
MA was a loving grandfather (Papa) to Malyssa and Alexandra and great grandfather to Luke.
He passed away on August 18, 2023 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas.
He is survived by his wife of seventy-one years, Dorothy Menzdorf, his son Scott (Jennifer) Menzdorf (Dallas, Texas). his daughter Brenda Menzdorf (Klein, Texas), grandchildren: Malyssa (Austin) Hull (Plano, Texas), Alexandra (Patrick) Menzdorf-Whiting, his great grandson Luke Hull (Plano, Texas), nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents William and Ella Menzdorf, siblings: Melvin (Florene) Menzdorf, Irene (James) Ivey, and other dear relatives and friends.
His family would like to thank the medical team at Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas for their dedication and care. Thank you to lifelong friends and neighbors on San Juan Avenues who have looked out for MA and Dorothy all these years.
