Morris (Nick) Jonas was born in Whitesboro, TX on April 22, 1932, to Nicholas and Voncile Jonas. He grew up in Wichita Falls, TX and graduated from Texas A&M in 1953. That same year he married Shirley Hardin and moved to Dallas. He worked until he retired as an underwriter for Republic National Life Ins. Company and the two subsequent companies that bought it, Gulf United and Anthem. He was a member of Military Parkway Church of Christ for 36 years where he served as a deacon. For the past nineteen years he has been a member of the White Rock Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Madeleine and her husband, Jay Massey; 2 grandsons, Patrick and Alan Massey. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Grove Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, May 19, 2011, in the Grove Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow at Midway Cemetery in Midway, TX.
