April 22, 1938 – October 25, 2025
Dr. Murray L. London, of Frisco, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, after a long, courageous fight with Alzheimer’s disease.
Born in 1938 at Florence Nightingale Hospital in Dallas, Murray was a proud lifelong Texan and a devoted son, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
A graduate of Highland Park High School, Murray went on to attend the University of Texas at Austin and Southern Methodist University before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston.
Shortly after completing his boards in 1963, Murray entered Active Duty in the U.S. Air Force. He and his teams were responsible for establishing field trauma hospitals in support of the Korean War. He continued his service for a decade more in the Air Force Reserve and received an Honorable Discharge at the rank of Captain.
After his military service, Murray opened his own dental practice at Preston Forest Tower in North Dallas, where he dedicated more than 35 years to providing compassionate care to his patients.
In 1968, Murray married Cheryl Dreiseszun. They welcomed two sons, Marc and Brad. Among his proudest moments were celebrating both of his sons earn the rank of Eagle Scout, watching Marc graduate from the U.S. Air Force Academy and dedicate 21 years of military service, and seeing Brad’s lifelong dream realized as a current member of Dallas Fire-Rescue Department, where he has served for nearly 25 years.
Family was Murray’s greatest joy. He never missed a chance to be present, attending school events, sports games, and family milestones with pride and enthusiasm. Whether celebrating a graduation, cheering from the sidelines, or spending weekends boating on Lake Lewisville, Murray was happiest surrounded by the people he loved most. His family was his pride, and he took great joy in each of their accomplishments and time spent together.
Outside of his professional and family life, Murray was very active. On any given day you could find him playing baseball, softball or racquetball. He loved bowling and was an avid waterskier and runner. He coached youth soccer, liked to go country western dancing, and enjoyed other activities such as pickleball, bocce ball and dominoes.
He will be remembered for his humility, his deep love of family and his Jewish faith, and his unwavering gratitude toward all who serve our country and communities.
Murray was preceded in death by his father Richard London, mother, Jeanette London, sister, Roslyn Sureck, and grandson, Micah London.
He is survived by his sons Marc London and Brad London and daughter-in-law Audra London; Grandchildren, Jacob, Madeline, Nathan, Zachary and Vivian London, as well as many beloved nephews, nieces and cousins.
Graveside funeral arrangements are set for Tuesday, October 28th, 3:00 pm, at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home in Dallas, with Shiva to follow at Brad and Audra’s home in Frisco.
