

Mrs. Myrtle Lee (Scott) Perry, age 80, of Desoto, Texas passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021. Myrtle was born July 28, 1941 in Calvert, Texas to the union of Myrtis Lee & Jessie Mae Scott. As a child, Myrtle enjoyed assisting at her mother’s beauty salon and she looked forward to the 10 cents she would receive from her mother.
In high school, she played the saxophone, she was very popular, and everyone loved to be in her company. After graduation from high school, Myrtle moved to San Antonio to attend college where she majored in accounting. Later in her life journey, Myrtle moved to Dallas where she married and had three children.
Myrtle was employed with the United States Postal Service for over 30 years until she retired. Upon retirement, Myrtle was a devoted mother, grandmother who loved spending time at her grandchildren games, shuffling between practices and other activities.
Myrtle was preceded in death by both of her parents, Myrtis Lee & Jessie Mae Scott, her brother, Preston Scott and other relatives. Myrtle leaves to cherish her memory and legacy: her loving children Glenn Perry, Paula Perry-Thomas and Keri Perry; her siblings, Carol Love and Sylvia Wiley (John R. Wiley); her beloved 15 grandchildren, Chasity Perry, Caleone Perry, Nyles Perry, Hampton Perry, Eraun Petry, Madysen Petry, Madden Petry, Milani Petry, Megan Perry, Keri Perry, Jr., Keli Perry, Kameron Perry, Kordale Perry, Karson Perry and Jayda Phillips; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
