Nancy Nicosia was born to Frank Paul and Lena Magnolia in Denison, Texas on January 25, 1924. Nancy, 90, of Dallas, passed away January 9, 2015. Nancy married Dr. Ralph Nicosia on September 16, 1944. She graduated from North Dallas High School and from Hockaday Junior College. Nancy was an active member of the Dallas Woman's Club, both the Willowbrook and the Marianne Scruggs Garden Clubs, She was President of the Dallas Dental Auxiliary, member of the Christ the King Altar Society and member of a few bridge clubs. She loved to take dance classes and practice Tai Chi.
She is survived by four children; Connie Stever and husband, Tom of Denton, Texas, Nic Nicosia and wife, Becky of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Nanette Flynn and husband, Bernie of Kingwood, Texas, and Ralph Nicosia and wife, Pat of Dallas, Texas; 11 grandchildren; Maggie Stever, Nancy DeBinder, Joanie Rouk, Brooke Helms, Katey Nicosia, Sarah Mayhall, Michael Flynn, Laura Flynn, Jamie Haas, Leigh Nicosia and Kelly Nicosia and 5 great-grandsons; Anthony and Xander Rouk, Jordan Ledbetter, Beau DeBinder and Lucas Flynn.
Nancy and her husband Dr. Nicosia enjoyed the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the world during their 65 years of marriage.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy., Dallas, TX with a Prayer Vigil being prayed at 7:15 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Christ the King Church, 8017 Preston Road, Dallas, TX 75225, Wednesday, January 14 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with entombment to follow at Calvary Hill Funeral Cemetery.
