Jane was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene “Gene” Parker; her parents Coyt and Lera McGehee; and her brothers, Lawrence, Fred and Ed. She is survived by her three children: Terry Parker and wife Sabrina of Gainesville, GA, Yvonne Warren of Waxahachie, TX, and Ronnie Parker of Lancaster, TX; her grandchildren: Jeremy Warren and wife Emily, Amanda Parker and fiance Kyle, Julie Daugherty and husband Brandon, and Jacob Parker and wife Ashlie; her step-grandchildren: Quinn, Arabia, Yelena and Serena Jones; and her great-grandchildren: Addison, Rory, Landon, Rowan, Harlow, and Kase.
Jane was born in Collinsville, TX. Her family relocated to Lancaster, TX during her teenage years, where she attended school and married her loving husband on September 12, 1952. They celebrated 53 years of marriage.
She started her career with Sears, Roebuck, and Co. where she became a supervisor in several departments including Data Processing, Merchandise and Customer Service. She retired after 50 years of dedicated service.
In her free time, Jane could be found sitting by a campfire on one of many camping trips with her family and she never missed a chance to watch her grandchildren’s games and events. Jane also enjoyed traveling with her lifelong friends. She was involved in many clubs including Ellis County Christian Women’s, Red Hats and Lancaster Book Club where she held an officer position. She also worked at the State Fair of Texas for several years selling admission tickets.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Buffalo Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care for taking such good care of Ms. Jane, especially the girls in Memory Care. They would always say “I love you Ms. Jane.” We would also like to thank Bristol Hospice for their loving support to our family during this journey.
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
