Nancy Poole-Dixey, 67, originally of Dallas, Texas went home, on her birthday in Dallas. Mrs. Dixey was born March 1, 1948 in Commerce, Texas, to James and Evorine (O'dell) Alford. She attended Justin F. Kimball H.S. in Dallas and continued her education at East Texas State University (TAMU-Commerce) in Commerce, graduating with a degree in art and secondary education. She worked as a teacher, a non-profit volunteer and caregiver. She is survived by her husband, Scott Dixey; daughter, Holly & husband Steve; son, Jason Sloan and his three children, Haley, Harrison and Presley. She was preceded in death by her father, James Alford and her mother, Evorine Alford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Metro-Relief, NYC Relief or Austin Street Shelter
