Nanette Charlene Moreno, age 50, passed away on 19 June in Irving, Tx. She was born on February 22, 1971 in Dallas, Texas to June Chapa Jones and Charles Moreno Villarreal. Nanette, or “Nanny” as some affectionately called her, was raised in Dallas, Tx and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1990.
Nanette was the middle child of three daughters and she never let you forget it. Maybe that’s why she only had two children, so neither would have that “middle child” syndrome! She loved forwarding memes demonstrating the differences among the first born, the middle child, and the baby. In high school, she and her sisters were known as the “Moreno sisters” and they were always together.
Nanette worked as an Accounting Coordinator at Cain Watters & Associates alongside her sister Laurie. In her spare time, Nanette enjoyed watching movies and drinking her Bud Light! She always had her Dr. Pepper, or “DP” as she would say, in the fridge--and would give you a look if you tried to take her last one, but in the end, she’d always be willing to share it with you! More importantly, though, she loved hanging out with her family. Her children, Sarah and Trey, were the proudest of her life’s accomplishments and she would drop everything for anything they needed or wanted. Nanette was also the proud nana of the sunshine of her life, Jackie, who she loved spoiling with her love.
Nanette will be missed by a legion of friends and family for her warm heart, big smile, and large laugh. She never held her laughs back, and they would cheer up an entire room. Just ask anyone at Applebees! She also never let the air go stale with awkwardness. She’d be the first person to point out something uncomfortable and make everyone feel at ease with the situation, either by making you laugh or making you get over yourself. She was truly the glue that held our family together.
She is preceded in death by her father Charles Moreno Villarreal.
She is survived by her children Sarah Haro and Trey Haro, her granddaughter, Jackie Haro, her mother June Chapa Jones, her sisters Laurie Cher Tercero (Homer Tercero) and Diana Moreno Middleton, her nephews AJ, Andy, Alec, and Johnathan, her niece Isabella, her great-nephew Julian, and her great-niece Allie, and countless other close relatives.
