Born in Dallas, Texas, Nelda Johns was the youngest of three daughters of Whitley and Marie Fuller. Cherished by all from an early age, she attended Kimball High School, where she was a member of the cheerleading squad, participated in theater, notably portraying Annie Oakley in Annie Get Your Gun, and was honored as the High School Sweetheart.
Nelda then attended Texas Christian University as a proud member of Chi Omega. Driven by her passion for caring for others, she continued her education at Baylor College of Dentistry, graduating from its inaugural class. She worked as a dental hygienist for several years and later in life, embarked on a career as a paralegal.
It was through this work that Nelda met the love of her life, Kenneth Johns. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and unwavering devotion. As wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Nelda's spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Johns; her daughter, Neldalourene Fox, her husband, Jason Fox, and their daughters, Stella and Eden Fox; her daughter, Mary Simpson and her husband, Clay Simpson, and their son, Jack Simpson; her granddaughter, Haley Bunn, and her husband, Ben Bunn, and their daughter, Lily Bunn; her sister and brother-in-law, Fred and Mary Raines, and many nieces and nephews.
Her faith and legacy of love will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
