He will be remembered as the cornerstone and leader of his family, as well for his love of politics, fishing at Lake Tawakoni, and his vast knowledge as a historian.
Nieves was preceded in death by Esther Gonzalez, Lucy Vela, Betty Ramirez, Marcelina Thomas, Jose Servin, and Felix Servin.
Nieves is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosie Lee Servin; daughter, Debra Maness and husband Holt; special daughter, Gloria Luna; grandchildren, Ian Servin, and Isaiah and Inys Maness; sisters, Pauline Castillo and Helen Maldonado; as well as many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 2nd from 6 to 8pm, and Funeral Services will be Wednesday, June 3rd at 2:00pm, all at Grove Hill Funeral Home, and will be followed by Interment at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
