

Nora Reyes, “Norita”, age 67, passed away on February 18, 2018 in Dallas, TX. She was born on April 11, 1950 in Guatemala City to Guillermo Pacheco and Zoila Soto. She was married to Saul Reyes in 1968 and the couple had two beautiful daughters. Nora and her family moved to the United States in 1987. They lived in New Orleans, LA for three years, later relocating to Rockford, IL, where her two wonderful granddaughters were born. In 2006 they moved to Dallas, TX. Nora had many professions in her lifetime, working as an accountant, office manager, patient care technician, medical records clerk, and children’s ministry teacher at Watermark Church.
In her spare time, Nora loved shopping, listening to music, dancing, traveling, spending time with her family, watching movies and telenovelas, rearranging furniture and redecorating her home. To her family and friends, she will always be remembered as a wonderful, beautiful, loving, caring, elegant, and funny woman. Nora always found the good in everything and in everyone and was an amazing woman with incredible faith who made a positive impact on everyone she met, even if it were a small encounter. An angel on earth!
Nora is survived by husband Saul Reyes, daughters Nora Rountree and Patty Garcia, sons-in-law Bert Rountree and Wilfredo Garcia, granddaughters Andrea and Isabella Garcia, brothers Guillermo and Jorge Pacheco and sister Edna Carrillo.
Her life will be celebrated on Friday, February 23 – Visitation/Reflection 4:00 pm, followed by 5:00 pm service at Gonzalez Funeral Home, located at 3050 N. Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, TX 75247. Nora, having loved flowers and plants, welcomed them as a sign of appreciation for her life and condolences for her departure.
