She was so humble and unassuming and hard-working that I assumed she was an employee of the title company.  I was very surprised to find out who she was.  The University of Arkansas at Fayetteville now has a large new building named for her, and I assume that it was endowed by her.  She was generous, modest person who became powerful, but did not change.  And she used her power for good.

I remember Norma Beasley, I worked as a closer in two of her offices...one on Hillcrest and the other one at Caruth Plaza, I remember when she let me driver her Rolls Royce to pick up my clients, I did not know her very long and I was amazed she trusted me with her expensive automobile..she told me I needed to start my own title company, I was only 24 years old in 1989.... I did and have been an entrepreneur every since...she was my role model and I will never forget her...Norma may you Rest In Peace...Minister Lady Price

Norma was my Grandma's first cousin. One year during Christmas she had walked across Highway 71 to visit my family. She had on a beautiful pair of white cowboy boots. I told her that I loved her boots. She pulled them off and gave them to me. She walked back to her mother's home in her socks. That is one of my fondest memories of her. Prayers sent to the remaining family members: Imogene, Roddy and Vickie!

Norma was my role model, my mentor, and she was the best support system anyone could ever hope to have. She lived and worked with a heartfelt degree of intergrity and  passion that most of us cannot even imagine. I will forever be grateful to her for the many, many wonderful memories. It was truly an honor to have called her my friend.I'll miss you Norma Lea

"Remembering Norma"
Through the years Norma, enjoyed coming to Florida to our Mother's home.  She liked to eat southern cooking.  She especially enjoyed  homemade ice cream.  She liked to visit theme parks and enjoyed boating, shopping, fishing and visiting with family and friends.

Norma was instrumental in helping us build Jean Walker's home church.  

We remember Norma working hard to make her projects perfect.  She would work into the night to reach her lofty goals. She was an accomplished self-made businessperson, reaching the zenith of any task she set out to do. Drawing on her knowledge of the law, her zeal to achieve, and her sheer hard work, she achieved even beyond what many thought she ever dreamed.  She successfully developed numerous business enterprises in a variety of markets.  Her superb legal and business acumen have inspired her colleagues, students, friends, and employees to strive for excellence. Yet, with her limitless responsibilities and challenges, she gave of her time and talents to the community. She gained the respect and admiration of many for her profound legal, financial, and entrepreneurial leadership throughout her illustrious career. 

Norma was generous in ways that others would not know.  We remember one time we were shopping in a large grocery store.  There was a woman with several small children shopping for her family.  When she was checking out we watched as the woman asked the cashier to return several items explaining that she could not pay for them.  Norma was near and very inconspicuously handed a $100.00 bill to the cashier asking her to continue checking out the groceries and if there was any money left over to give it to the stranger.  Norma then discreetly moved to another check out lane.
Norma loved to grow living plants, flowers, and flowering trees.  She especially liked Crepe Myrtles and while in Florida if she saw a plant she liked she would get a cutting or a small plant to take back to Dallas.  Norma had a green thumb and enjoyed working in her flowers and plants.

"One of my first memories of Norma was riding in her convertible with the top down and the air conditioner running full blast. To my teenage mind, this was extravagant and I was very impressed thinking, “Wow! Norma does not spare anything to make the trip comfortable and fun”. 
Norma worked very hard but knew how to enjoy herself.

Norma gave me an opportunity to be all I could be - As one of the first African American Escrow Officer in the Metroplex. I credit Norma Beasley and the SAFECO Family for seventeen years that has given me a lifetime career in the title industry.  She is indeed not only a Legend, but she is the Mother of the land title industry in Texas. God bless everyone.  HOOAH

As a casual acquaintance, Norma accepted me as though she had known me forever. Norma Beasley broke through The Glass Ceiling long before the possibility existed in the minds of the world.  Her life and accomplishments have inspired women in the wide reaches of Everywhere. She once said, as we strolled about her  pool, "If I can do it, others can, too, if the desire is there. They must believe." Norma had immense desire and belief in her vision: an examplary job well done! Her love for her family and true friends came first, and, were last in her heart. Rest in peace, dear Lady.

Norma was a remarkable woman who accomplished so much more than most. My deepest sympathy.

We remained friends throughout the years as she handled many transactions for us at her title company on Hillcrest.
