Norma was born August 21, 1927, in Texarkana, Texas, to the late Clark and Erma Hopkins as an only child. She received her Bachelor's degree and taught for the Dallas Independent School District for 36 years.
Norma lived her life to the fullest and was an avid cook who loved to host dinner parties. After her retirement from the Dallas Independent School District, she found a passion for travel and enjoyed various crafting hobbies such as needlepoint. She also loved to spend time with her friends and loved to play Bridge.
Norma attended Chapel Hill United Methodist Church until her physical mobility was impaired.
Norma was a loving person who leaves to cherish her, her daughter, Sandra Griffitts; two grandchildren, Kimberly and Kameron, seven great grandchildren; and several friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 27th at 10:30am at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, 12411 Templeton Trail, Farmers Branch, TX, 75234.
