He was preceded in death by his wife Bettye McCallum Depew, his mother Bessie Depew and siblings Les Depew, Clyde Depew and Dee Kerby.
Norman is survived by three daughters, Janey Depew, Brenda Dankowski, and Nancy Edie and their significant others Mark Nance, Travis Alexander and Ron Moore.
His survivors also include seven grandchildren, Windy (Matt) Grider, Joie (Matt) Vance, Summer (Andy) Oleson, Adam Edie, Jason (Rachel) Edie, Dustin Dankowski and Cyndi (Joe) Denham.
Nine great grandchildren, Brian (Jourdin) Vance, Courtland Vance, Kortney, Kadin, Kyleigh and Katye Grider, Graham Norman Oleson, Shelbi Slater and Joey Denham and one great-great grandson, Bryson Vance.
After serving in the Army Air Corps during WWII, Norman graduated with a BBA from SMU in 1959.
He was an Accountant in the Oil and Gas Industry from 1957 to 2017. For the past 49 years, he worked at Estate Oil & Gas in Dallas, Texas.
Norman loved his family more than words can express. He was the best husband, dad, and grandfather anyone could ever have and was considered a dad to his daugthers' friends .
Family will receive friends from 6 - 8 pm on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at the funeral home.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday September 27, 2018 at 2 pm at Grove Hill Funeral Home 3920 Samuell Blvd., Dallas, Texas 75228 .
Interment will follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park. Memorials can be made to the American Lung Association.
