Norman Ray McCord, 84, passed away January 8, 2018 in Irving, Texas. He was born to Luther M. and Grace McCord in Burton, Kansas on July 5, 1933. Norman graduated from Russ Center High School in Kansas, entered the Navy and served from 1955 to 1957. He was a computer technician and insurance salesman. Norman enjoyed computers, fixing things, playing cards, reading, painting, watching the Dallas Cowboys, camping and hunting. Some of the most special times were taking trips to Kansas with his family. Norman is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Ann McCord, parents, Luther and Grace McCord and siblings, Carl, Mildred, Jack and Francis. He is survived by children, David and Terri; grandchildren, Al, Casey, Alyssa and Alannah and great-grandchildren, Mason, Ameeliah, Aleem, Tyler, Weslee and Paxton. Visitation will be held at Grove Hill Funeral Home on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 4 to 6pm. Graveside services will be held at Sparkman Hillcrest Memorial Park on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 11am.
