

She was affectionately known to family and friends as Madea. She lived the majority of her life in Dallas Texas after graduating from Lincoln High School.
She married Henry Reed and to this union six children were born.
While attending a Voice of Prophecy Seminar, she accepted the Lord in her life and was baptized into City Temple Seventh-day Adventist church, in 1960 under Elder E.C. Ward and C. E. Dudley.
She served in the church from that point on as Deaconess, Usher, Choir member, and Bible Worker. Madea was instrumental in laying the foundation for Penuel SDA as she and three partners sowed the field in West Dallas, through Bible studies, praying with people in need, and distributing literature.
She believed in financially supporting the church, school, and ingathering investments.
She retired from Dallas Independent School district after 35 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Billy Jean Wilson, L.H. Wilson, sister Mae Frances Mitchell, sons Kenneth, Henry Jr, and Bobby; daughter Myra. She leaves to cherish her memory son David Reed and daughter Lucretia Douglas as well as 8 grandchildren and a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
