It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Orvis Ray Kerr at the Trinity Health and Rehab Center in Winnsboro, Texas on Saturday, December 21, 2019 after failing health issues. He died peacefully with loved ones by his side. Orvis was 93. He was a WWII veteran and served proudly in the Navy and Merchant Marines.
Orvis was born on January 31, 1926 to Maggie Burns And Henry Kerr in Point, Texas. He is predeceased by his parents,sister Virginia White,brother Jerrel and wife Opal of 54 years . Orvis is survived by his sister Helen Rodden and sons Michael, Tommy, David and Sam, daughters Betty and Carleen as well as nieces, nephews,numerous grandchildren and great-grand children.
He has left a permanent mark on our hearts and will be sorely missed.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at 2PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home,3920 Samuell Blvd., Dallas,Texas, 75228.
