

Oscar M. Espinosa, Sr. was born in Matamoros Tamaulipas, Mexico on April 12, 1953 to Cecilia and Jose Angel Espinosa. He passed on April 24, 2026, at the age of 73 in Dallas, Texas.
Oscar was raised in South San Antonio, Texas where he attended South San Antonio High School, Class of 1973. He married Dahlia Perez Espinosa in 1974 and the couple had 2 children. He was a supervisor at G.H. Hensley (Komatsu) where he worked for over 32 years.
In his spare time, Oscar enjoyed an assortment of activities such as playing soccer, listening to music, dancing, working on cars and inventing gadgets. He really loved spending time with close friends and most of all, with his precious grandchildren.
His family will always remember him as Mr. Fix It, an inventor, jokester, funny, caring, big hearted, a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, a provider, and role model.
Oscar is preceded in death by his parents Cecilia and Jose Angel; and siblings, Tomasita Castillo, Jose Espinosa, Emiliano Espinoza, Juanita Garza, and Miguel Espinosa.
He is survived by his wife, Dahlia Espinosa; daughter, Veronica Espinosa Cavazos and son-in-law, Robert Cavazos, Jr.; son, Oscar Espinosa, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Espinosa; grandchildren, Robert Cavazos III, Ayanna Cavazos, Jairo Oscar Espinosa, and Clarissa Lee Espinosa; and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Services will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220. Visitation will be held Monday, May 4, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Liturgy of the Word will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 11:00 am, followed by the burial at 12:00 pm in San Juan Diego Garden of Calvary Hill Cemetery.
