Pat Connell passed away suddenly Sunday, April 11th, 2021. Born in Beaumont, his family moved to Dallas where he was raised in Oak Cliff, Texas, by his late parents, Doug and Aileen Connell. Pat graduated from Kimball High School and attended University of Texas/Arlington and University of North Texas. He was a veteran of the US Navy and could tell you how many months, days, hours, minutes and seconds he served in the military. Pat was the consummate storyteller, jokester and a world class salesman all his life. In his younger years he loved water and snow sports and was an avid hunter, golfer and fisherman. In later years, he loved and cherished his family, friends, cold beer and his Land of Enchantment, Ruidoso, NM.
Pat is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sandra, daughter Teresa Novak and her husband Jim, Christina Hedding and her husband Matt, his beloved grandchildren, Holden Novak, Alyssa Hedding and Lynley Hedding. Brother Jim Connell and sister, Mary Ann Hamilton (Bill). A host of nieces and nephews, 49 to be exact! Extended family, “Steel Magnolias” and their spouses, children and grandchildren. Earning the grandfather title, Pat Pat, he adopted that as his official name, to which he answered to proudly!
