Dear Jason, I know you must not be in for long, and how difficult this trip must be on you...so you please take good care of YOURself too, okay?   Please try to find some time later to give me a call.

I got to know Pat by working with him at FedEx Airfreight Ops in Austin, TX at ABIA. He was an excellent worker who got the job done, and that made all our jobs a little easier. Pat and I  also saw eye to eye on politics. I could always expect to enjoy a spirited conversation with Pat every time we worked together. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends, he was a good man and great citizen. He will be missed.

  As we share our farewells to dear Pat, I want to leave the following written  
  by my Mother years ago which helps to ease the pain of losing those who     
  have been special to us: 
  
  "We little knew that morning God was going to call your name.
  In life we loved you and in death we do the same.
  It broke our hearts to  lose you,  you did not go alone,
  for part of us went with you the day God called you home.

Dear Deanna and (Grandad) Pat, I was so humbled and grateful that you spent so much time with me on the phone the other night regarding Pat.  I have been so not knowing what to do or say, and have been thinking all the while about you and Jason, and the horrible pain and sorrow all of you must be experiencing. Per the website, I am sending money to the ASPCA in his memory; our family is huge on wild and domestic animal rescue and welfare--and Nicole is devoting her whole life career to saving marine mammals--and we are impressed to know Pat apparently was rescuing Pit Bull dogs.
