Patricia Willott Cook (Pat) was born on January 27, 1923 and passed away peacefully on April 13, 2019 at the age of 96. She was a vibrant person up until the last two months of her life. She was born in St. Charles, MO. to parents Joseph R. Willott and Anna Beumer Willott. She graduated from St. Charles High School in 1941. After high school, Pat moved to Montgomery, AL., and Grand Prairie, TX. and finally ending up in Dallas,TX in 1948, where she spent the remainder of her years. There she met her first husband, James T. Bayless, Jr. which they married 1949. She is succeeded by her one and only child, James T. Bayless III, known as Tommy. She also has several nephews, one god niece, and many, many, friends through the years. She is preceded in death by her only sibling, Ruth Ann Nickerson of Pittsburg, TX. While in Dallas, Pat married her second husband, Ulice W. Cook of Denton, TX in 1965. Pat worked for the City of Dallas, first in the tax dept. but mainly in the water dept. for almost 30 years. After her retirement in 1983, she enjoyed an active lifestyle for many years afterwards including traveling, photography, and working with her local church activities. She also worked for the Byron Nelson Salesmanship Club for several years during that time. She was a long time member of almost 50 years at Irwindell United Methodist Church, and then became a member of Cockrell Hill United Methodist Church after Irwindell closed in 2007. In the middle years, after the death of Mr. Cook, Pat met a gentleman in the plastic and silk flowers, Sparks D. Veasey. They shared many travel adventures and wonderful times together for over 40 years; she was a loving and caring, and a fine Christian woman. She will be dearly missed by many friends & family. Visitation will be on Saturday April 20, 2019 from 11:00 am-12 noon and funeral services will be at 12 noon both at Laurel Land Funeral Home.
