Patty Howe, 79, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2026, surrounded by her children. Born April 24, 1947, in Tyler, Texas, to Arthur and Orell Leverett, Patty graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. She went on to attend Stephen’s College and Southern Methodist University where she obtained both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. It was there she met her late husband Mike and began a honeymoon that lasted until his death in 2006. Patty was happiest with her family and friends. She enjoyed fresh flowers, soulful music, a good Chardonnay and collecting recipes. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Howard Arthur Leverett, Junior, and her husband Michael Clarence Howe. Survivors include her son Thomas Michael Howe (Maggie) and her daughter Lesley Howe Lorenz (Ted). She is also survived by five amazingly perfect grandchildren; Cooper, Max and Sam Howe; and Jack and Cate Lorenz. A memorial service will be held at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home on Friday, September 18, at 1pm with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Breakthrough TID, Genesis Women’s Shelter, The Alzheimer’s Association, Dell Children’s Medical Center or the charity of your choice. The family would like to extend our sincere thanks to Patty’s special caregiver Brandy Chavez for her friendship and kindness.
