Patricia Ann Kaiser returned to the arms of our Lord on May 14, 2013 after a short illness. She was born in St. Louis to Paul and Lorraine (Clasby) Kaiser, and transplanted at the tender age of eight months to Dallas. She attended Christ the King school and Ursuline Academy. Pat graduated from Loretto Heights College, where she made many life-long friends and received a master’s degree from UT Arlington.
Pat started her nursing career as a medical-surgical nurse at St Paul in 1972 and ended her career as a Certified Nurse Specialist-Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator. She was named one of the inaugural "DFW Great100 Nurses" in 1991. Pat's faithful, dedicated service was instrumental to the success of the Heart/Lung Transplant Program at St Paul. Pat's sweet spirit lives on through the many lives she has touched over her 41 yrs of service at St Paul. She will be dearly missed. Patricia was a life giver, literally. She was beloved by both colleagues and transplant patients alike. Her last days were filled with visits from friends and co-workers, who shared stories about how Pat was always willing to help others and go the extra mile.
Over the years Patricia’s kindness and generosity impacted many lives. She will be remembered for her love of family and travel, humility, compassion, kindness, and faithfulness to God. She was a devoted daughter, sister, friend, aunt, and educator. No one could compare to her.
Patricia grew up with and is survived by four siblings: Mary (and Bob) Wolfle, Paul Kaiser, Tom (and Nang) Kaiser, and Anne (and Joe) Zakas. She was a beloved aunt to Allison, Lori, Christopher, Jennifer, Anthony, Rob, Mary, Katie, Steve and Paul and an even more beloved great aunt to Eric, Elizabeth, Abby, Sophia, Liz, Mary Chambers, James, Rayanne, Robert III, Julia and Evan.
Patricia will be sorely missed by many family, friends and co-workers. But in faith we believe that she is now experiencing a joy beyond our ability to imagine. Please join us in thanking God for the gift of our sister, friend and colleague.
Visitation and a prayer service will be held at the chapel of Calvary Hill 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, on Sunday, May 19, beginning at 3pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, May 20 at 10am at St. Rita Catholic Church at 12521 Inwood Road, Dallas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Catholic Foundation.
