Patricia Ann Koppa

Patrica Ann Koppa was born in San Diego, California on August 8, 1937 and God called her home on October 31, 2018. She was raised in Fort Worth, Texas by her parents George and Margaret Clayton. Pat married Charles R. Koppa on September 28, 1957 at St. Alice’s in Fort Worth. Together, they raised 3 children including a son, David; daughter, Karen; and son, Steve.

The military took them several places before they finally settled in Dallas and started their family. Pat was a long time member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church in Dallas, TX. Upon moving to McKinney, she became a member of St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Community where she actively served her community. She loved her family and friends, enjoyed community service, and social activities.

She is preceded in death by her husband and parents. She is survived by her children, David Koppa and wife Sonja of Colorado Springs, CO; Karen Giddens and husband Don of Plano, TX; Steve Koppa and wife Sheryl of McKinney, TX; her brother Richard Clayton of McKinney, TX; her niece Lori Richey and husband Steve of Wichita, KS; her nephew John Clayton and wife Lisa of Austin, TX; 7 grandchildren (Chris, Bryan, Brooke, Drew, Nikki, Kasi, and Katy); and 3 great grandchildren (Cole, Tate, and Aria).

She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend and will be deeply missed.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 6:00 pm at St. Gabriel’s in McKinney. Rosary to follow at 7:00 pm. The funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 7 at 10:00 am at St. Gabriel’s with reception to follow. Burial will then take place at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
