Patricia Louise (Reinle) Swann, 88, daughter of Louis Reinle and Cecil (McGraw) Reinle, and stepdaughter to Lucille (Miles) Reinle, passed peacefully on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at T. Boone Pickens Hospice after a long battle with kidney disease. Her visitation will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 1:00pm followed by the funeral service at 2:00pm at Laurel Land funeral home in Dallas.
Pat was born on December 3, 1929 in Dallas. She was an only child but was never alone amidst her roughhousing uncles. Pat attended Metropolitan Business College and spent many years as a secretary at John E. Mitchell Company, Music & Sound, and Procter & Gamble, where she met her husband, Tommy Swann. They were married February 13, 1951, and were together for 51 wonderful years before his death in 2002. They raised two children, Jim and Cindy. She was a devoted mother and wife and enjoyed traveling as much as possible to the Gulf Coast. They enjoyed their condo in Port Aransas and several motorhomes over the years and covered countless miles showing their granddaughters the country. Hands down, her greatest joy was spoiling her grandchildren. She lovingly was called ‘Mamaw’ and her lap was always full. Pat loved crossword puzzles, cooking comfort food for her family, and was always thinking of others. To know her was to love her.
Pat is preceded in death by her mother, father, and stepmother; son Jim and daughter Cindy; and husband Thomas. It will be the greatest heavenly family reunion. Pat’s memory will forever be cherished by family & friends: granddaughters Kim Lopez (Pablo) and Kelly Faria (Roger), who owe much of their incredible childhood to her and their Papaw, three great-grandchildren, who adored her; and, her son-in-law, Mike Cooper.
The family wishes to thank T. Boone Pickens Hospice for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA.
