Patricia Jane Walker

Patricia Jane Walker, beloved wife, mother, Nana , and friend, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love. Born on February 2, 1935, in Ottumwa, Iowa, she was the cherished daughter of Albert J. and Marie Jane Yanausch. Patricia grew up with a strong sense of family, compassion, and faith. Real qualities that would define her entire life.

Patricia married the love of her life, James Jay Walker, and together they built a beautiful family and a lifetime of memories. She was a devoted stay-at-home mother who poured her heart into raising her two children, Christy Marie Alexander and James Patrick Walker. Her home was always a place of comfort, warmth, and unconditional love...a true haven for anyone who walked through her door.

A woman of great generosity and a natural caregiver, Patricia spent her life taking care of everyone around her. Whether family, friends, neighbors, or members of her church community, she offered support, compassion, and a steady hand. She was a proud and active member of the 55+ Club at St. Pius X Catholic Church, where she formed lifelong bonds and shared her giving spirit with countless others.

In her final years, Patricia was lovingly cared for by her granddaughter, Lauren Kannady, whose dedication and companionship brought Patricia great comfort, joy, and peace.

Patricia adored her cats, who were constant companions and brought her endless happiness throughout her life. Her gentle nature and soft heart were reflected in the way she cared for both people and animals alike.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James, and her son James Patrick Walker. She is survived by her daughter, Christy Marie Alexander and son-in-law Stan Alexander, grandchildren Lauren Marie Kannady, Kellie Donahue and Eric Walker.

Patricia leaves behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and quiet strength. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

A service celebrating Patricia’s life will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church on December 2nd 2025 at 11:00am.
