Patsy Ruth Alsbrooks Martin, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister passed away October 7, 2019. She was born November 22, 1931 in Farmersville, Texas. Patsy graduated from Crozier Tech and was a member of the Dal-Tech Alumni Association. She had a productive career as an Administrative Secretary in Food Brokerage and later in Oil and Gas. She was a member of Highland Oaks Church of Christ and one of her greatest joys was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Merle Martin, husband of 56 years, parents Joe and Bessie Alsbrooks, and son-in-law Dennis Smith preceded her in death. She is survived by her Daughters: Carla Smith and significant other, Ron Chalfant, Brenda and husband John Wheeler, Sherry and husband John Collinsworth. Sons: Dennis Martin and wife Judy and Ricky Martin. Grandchildren: Andy Smith, Alex Smith and girlfriend, Sara Mann, Allison Kilpatrick and husband Jeremy, Justin Wheeler and wife Johanna, Addison Wheeler and wife Laura, Lauren Trayner and husband Steven, Renay McAfee and husband Kyle, Angela Luna and husband Patrick, Joshua Martin, Kristen Robinson and husband Nick, and Camille Collinsworth; sister Evelyn Taylor and cousin Jean Bartlett, nine precious great-grandchildren with two more on the way and countless other family and friends. She leaves us with the legacy of love and devotion. The family wishes to thank Arbor House of Garland and Ardent Hospice for their care of our mother. Services will be held Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 11:00 AM with visitation starting an hour prior at Grove Hill Funeral Home with Vince Doan officiating. Interment in Garden of Faith at Grove Hill Cemetery.
