

Entered the kingdom of heaven on December 3, 2013 with her loving family at her side. Patsy was born in Midland, Texas on June 12, 1936 to Gladys Kendrick and Orb Lee Stice. She grew up in Brownfield, Texas, attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri and graduated from Texas Tech University.
After moving to Dallas, Patsy married the love of her life H. Dunlap Weichsel on July 1, 1960. Together they had three children who became their primary focus and biggest joy. She was absolute in her dedication to her children and later to her beloved grandchildren unconditionally supporting any endeavor or activity they participated in with a big smile full of encouragement.
One of Patsy’s favorite places was Almont, Colorado where she spent much family time enjoying the mountains and sharing many happy memories with friends. She took pleasure taking her children and grandchildren on wonderful trips and enjoyed sharing her love of all things living, growing and beautiful.
Patsy was a loyal member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and The Junior League of Dallas. She was passionate about many organizations and causes including Ridotto, Hesitation, Topics & Trends, Dallas Women’s Club and Dallas Garden Club. An avid tennis player, Patsy enjoyed her time playing with friends at Brook Hollow Golf Club. Another of her biggest passions was playing cards with many best, lifelong friends. Her seat at several card tables is irreplaceable.
Although Patsy suffered a debilitating stroke, she refused to let it beat or define her. She stayed focused on getting better and worked tirelessly in physical therapy holding to her faith and never losing hope. Her unyielding positive attitude and determination were an inspiration to everyone who knew her. Patsy’s contagious smile and indomitable spirit will never be forgotten
Family and friends were always her top priority. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Dunlap Weichsel after 53 passionate years of marriage. She is survived by her adoring children; Nancy Weichsel Neuhoff, Hudson Dunlap Weichsel Jr., and Carl Christian Weichsel II. Grandchildren; Hallie & Hanna Weichsel and Stice and Mary Jane Neuhoff. daughter-in-law, Christie Weichsel and son-in-law, Steve Neuhoff; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Dr. Richard Hill of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and her treasured nieces and nephews.
The family thanks her wonderful caregivers; Margaret Miller, Malinda Scott, Edith Sneed, LaDonna Little, Martha Hilton, and Rosa Sandoval.
Visitation will be held at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home on Monday, December 09, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 4pm on December 10th at St. Michael and All Angels Church in Dallas, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Michael and All Angels Church or the charity of your choice.
