A Mighty Oak Has Fallen! He was the last surviving member of a great generation of the Benat Family. He never stopped fighting the good fight. May our heavenly Father ease your grief and leave only the cherished memories of his loving ways. May the love of family and friends comfort you in this time of sorrow. And may the Angels lead him into Paradise. Your Friends, Larry & Mary Ackels and The Ackels Family.

Your Dad was so special to me. As a Hospice volunteer, I had no idea that your precious Pop would steal my heart. After visiting him for more than 4 years, we had many fun, historical & faith-based conversations. He loved it when I sang old hymns to him & praying the Lord's Prayer with me before I left. He loved holding my hand, getting a shoulder massage, but he especially loved when I brushed his hair & massaged his head. Pop was a very kind, humble & grateful man. We'd talk about heaven a lot, his dreams & his purpose for living when he felt he wasn't able to give to others in his declining health. He was so proud of his family & felt very loved by all of you. I am forever changed by my relationship with Pop. I am blessed. He is now out of pain and enjoying his forever home, Heaven. With love, Laura Smith, Dallas, Texas

We, the Sisters of St. Mary at Our Lady of Victory Center in Fort Worth, wish to express our sincere condolences to all of the family. Sister Ann, one of Paul's sisters, felt very close to him and to all the family. May he rest in peace and may God console you in your loss.

Pop,

I have learned a lot from you these past 65 years. I have learned about cars and washing machines. I have learned how to pack garage to the doors and still find room for another tool. I have learned how to determine what the "important stuff" is from the junk. Most of all, I have learned about being a good husband and father. Say hello to Mom. I will miss you and I love you.

My Dear Sweet Pop,

I am going to miss placing kisses on your face. When Jesus calls me home and I see you again, tell Him to let me in because I will have lots and lots of kisses just for you. I love you and I will miss you.
