Paul George Doran July 6, 1927- November 6, 2019 Paul George Doran, 92 years old, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather was welcomed into the presence of his Lord and Savior on November 6, 2019. Born to Charles and Mildred Doran in Sioux City, Iowa on July 6, 1927, Paul lived a life of selfless devotion to his family and friends. Paul was the oldest of three brothers. Upon graduation from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard. During World War II, he served on various ships that conducted operations throughout the Atlantic Ocean. At the end of the war, Paul attended The University of South Dakota graduating with a degree in Geology. He married the love of his life, Mae Louise Olson, in Sioux City, Iowa on May 31, 1952. After graduation, Paul began his career in the pipeline industry, serving throughout the Midwest and South as he progressed in his career. Increasing responsibilities led him to Houston, Texas. There he was appointed President of Texas Eastern Products Pipeline Company where he served until his retirement in 1988. Paul was an acknowledged expert in pipeline transmission and storage technologies, often consulting with industry trade groups and testifying before various congressional committees. Paul was a devoted husband and father. He loved his beautiful wife Mae and they shared the joys of life while raising their children. Integrity, perseverance, hard work, courage and generosity were the qualities he modeled for his children. To those who knew him and cared for him, he was a gentleman of careful words, kindness and had a warm laugh that made everyone feel welcome. Paul has resided in Dallas for the last 5 years. He spent time with his two sons and their families. Paul was so proud of the men his two sons have become carrying on his legacy of love, devotion and work ethic. Grandpa Paul adored his five grandchildren and his three great-granddaughters delighting in each one. Paul was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Mae Olson Doran, incredible daughter, Lisa Marie Doran and infant son, John Doran. He is survived by son, Mark and his wife Wendy, and their 3 children Blake and Kyra Doran, and their daughter Remi; Barrett and Cate Doran and daughters, Chandler and Josephine; and Hayley and Matt Singletary; son Craig and his wife Robin and their children, Hudson and Harper; his brother Bob and his wife Kay Doran and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 10:00am in Ellis Chapel of Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Susan G.
