Paul David Ford passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at the age of 57, in his home that he shared with Kathy Williams and her son Robert Siders. Paul was born on November 18, 1963, in Manila, Arkansas to Kathryn and the late T.J. Ford. Paul loved riding his motorcycle and working on projects. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, enjoying cookouts and the outdoors. Some of his favorite days were spent sitting on back porch having a beer and sharing stories. He loved quality time his children and grandchildren. Paul had a tough exterior but had a sweet and loving side. Everyone he met became family to him. He had a strong work ethic and did not quit until a job was done. That same work ethic was implanted into sons. Paul spent most of his adult life working in construction. Paul had the biggest heart when it came to animals, and he loved his pets greatly. He inspired everyone he knows to live life to the fullest and in the moment. He enjoyed music of all genres and passed the love of music onto his sons. Everyone who knew him, knew what “Freebird” meant to him.
He will be dearly missed by his family and all that knew and loved him.
Paul is survived by his two sons and daughter-in-laws, Robert Tilmon and Melissa Ford of Kemp and Mark Butler and Monica Ford of Scurry. Paul was greeted in Heaven by his first-born son, Paul David Ford, Jr. (Little Paul) and oldest grandson Aaron Tilmon Ford. Paul had five sisters: Kim Hall, Debra Boller, and Lisa Curtis of Indiana. Sheila Ford and Hope Perez of Grand Prairie. Paul leaves behind four blessings known as his grandchildren: Lilly Kaylene Ford, Luke Jackson Ford, Gracy Starr Ford, and Zachary Butler Ford. His grandchildren loved their grandpa/pawpaw very much.
Visitation with the family is scheduled for Sunday, July 25th, 2021, from 2:00 – 6:00pm and services to celebrate his life are scheduled for Monday, July 26th, 2021. Both events will take place at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Dallas, TX.
