While Uncle Paul was not our blood relative, we still thought of him as a "special" uncle. He, Aunt Lucy, & the family always made us feel like part of their family. We will always remember Uncle Paul for his good heart, his great sense of humor, his warm hospitality, and his amazing menudo! Aunt Lucy, we've kept you and the kids in our prayers and will continue to do so. Even though you may not be able to see him, rest assured that Uncle Paul is still close by, making sure that his family is protected and safe. God bless you all!

Of all the Uncle's I have ever had, (and in our giant family, it's a TON), Uncle Paul will always be the most cherished. He was SO unique, witty, funny, charming and an all around great man. He loved his wife and took such good care of her, as well as his 4 little legacies Mike, Carlos, Ricky and Erica. He was a MASTER at entertaining! His social skills were unsurpassed as well as his kitchen skills. Oh boy, to eat some of Uncle Paul's cooking was like having a party in your mouth! Good, good stuff. I will miss his funny coin phrases like "Where have you been all my life?" and "Hey good lookin'!" and "Dontcha know!" Then there's Uncle Paul's cards and domino games that he so lovingly EXCELLED at any time there was a deck of cards and a table around to play on. I thank God for the time that we as his family were able to share with him while he was here on earth. And though our hearts are heavy and we will ALL miss him so much, I find comfort in knowing that his baby boy Rick now finally has his daddy back and that one day we ALL will be there in heaven together again, playing cards, cracking jokes, making pots of menudo, all in our Heavenly Father's Kingdom. Rest with the angels now, Uncle Paul. You know that we love you and we know that you're essence will always be with us. <3
