

Paula Richardson Lander was born on July 1, 1941 in Houston, Texas, and passed away on December 11, 2016 in Dallas, Texas. She was a member of the first graduating class of Bryan Adams High School in 1959, then attended Hardin-Simmons University and graduated from East Texas Baptist College in 1963.
She had a multifaceted working career which included Case Worker in the Department of Family and Children’s Services in the state of Georgia; the establishment of the Playschool at First Baptist Church in Mineola, Texas, and various clerical positions in the medical practices of Dallas Associated Dermatologists, Drs. Taylor, Winslow and Syrquin, Dr. Jeff Russell, and Cardiology Consultants of Texas.
She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Dallas as well as a member of the Sanctuary Choir and the Pathfinder’s Bible Class.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Tommy Lander; daughter Keri Lander Heisroth and her husband Jeff; son Blake Lander and his wife Shelley; grandchildren: Dylan Heisroth, Benjamin Lander, Madison Heisroth, William Lander and Lindley Heisroth.
Also surviving are her sisters Jackie Stewart and her husband Larry of Mineola, TX; Kathy Moses and her husband Jim of Lindale, TX; as well as nieces and nephews Stephen and Mark Spacek, Casey Stewart and Amy Parrish, and great- nieces and nephews as well.
She was preceded in death by her father, Irvin Richardson, and her mother and step-father, Clona and David Lindley and her sister Yvonne Lowden.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, December 17th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Truett Chapel of First Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mission 1:8 of First Baptist Dallas or to the Gaston Christian Center.
