

Peggy was born on March 9, 1939 in Paris, Texas to Jay and Lucky (Blackshear). Peggy grew up with a love for music, dancing, and babysitting. She had a great love for children and they loved her too. She loved people, she could talk to anyone.
She graduated from Crozier Tech in Dallas, Texas as one of the smartest in her class.
Some of the things she loved to do was working her crossword puzzles, going to the casino, she loved going camping and fishing spending time in her garden and spending time with her family. She had a love of animals. She always had a dog or 2 or 3.
She was famous for her fried chicken, her Christmas fudge and hand shelled pecans.
She married on November 27, 1959 to Donald Brown Norris. They made their home in Oak Cliff. She is survived by two sons, Donald James Norris and Robert Delamar, three daughters; Joyce Haines, Denise Soria, Debbie Tomlinson, eight grandchildren; Michelle Ptacek, Randy Tomlinson, Kyle Tomlinson, Jordan Soria, Jesse Soria, Jerrid Soria, Justin Delamar and Megan Delamar and six great grandchildren; Max, Mark, Emily, Wyatt, Seth and Christian.
She is preceded in death by her husband Donald Norris and her daughter Debbie Tomlinson.
A Memorial Service will be held at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel, in Dallas at 2:00 p.m. on Friday August 14, 2026.
