

Phyllis Vader Weaver passed away unexpectedly November 15, 2010. Phyllis was born March 4, 1939 in Buffalo, NY to Paul and Josephine Vader. The family moved to Arlington in 1951. She graduated from Arlington High and St Joseph Hospital School of Nursing. She met the love of her life, Jim, on a blind date and they married on July 7, 1962 - “the hottest darn day of the year” according to her father. They were married for 33 years until his death in 1996. Phyllis was an active member of both St Paul and All Saints Catholic Churches, serving in multiple organizations. She was a Girl Scout troop leader and was famous for her homemade bread, frosted sugar cookies and sharing homemade treats with all her friends and family at the holidays. Phyllis is survived by her daughters Lynn Weaver, Jill Steele and her husband Brian and Molly Weaver. She was the proud grandma of two precious granddaughters Alexandra Faith and Sarah Grace Steele and loved to tell stories about them to anyone who would listen. She is also survived by her brothers Paul Vader Jr and wife Mary Ann, Patrick Vader and wife Judy and her sister Pru and husband Ray Brett, numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends. Recitation of the Rosary will be Thursday, November 18th at 730PM at All Saints Catholic Church 5231 Meadowcreek Drive in Dallas. Memorial Mass will be Friday, November 19th at 11AM also at All Saints.
