

Polly was born on October 1, 1952, in McKinney, TX, to Marvin Wilford and Willie Faye Cunningham Williams, who predeceased her.
She is survived by her son, Brian Alan Bordelon of Dallas, TX; (step) son, Joseph "Paul" Bordelon and wife Erin of Dallas, TX; (step) daughter, Jennifer Bordelon Hines and husband Spencer of Tyler, TX; and (step) daughter Jenee Slocum of Baton Rouge, LA. She is also survived by her brother, Thomas G (Tommy) Williams of Commerce, TX; sister Martha Ann Carpenter and husband, Jerry of Rowlett, TX, and sisters-in-law Gay Williams of Walnut Springs, TX, and Mary Ann Fehler of Lexington, KY. She is survived by Brian’s stepmother, Carol Calkins, and by the father of Jenee, Jim Slocum, numerous other nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends.
Polly is also preceded in death by the father of Brian, Jennifer and Paul, Donald Paul Bordelon; brothers, CW Williams, Billy Gene Williams; sister-in-law Barbara Williams, niece Rhonda Pickett, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins as well as her best friend, Leah Dorsey.
Her primary focus was always her family. Polly was affectionately known as Grandma Poppy to Caroline (age 13), Elizabeth (age 9), Leo (age 9), Benjamin (age 8), Genevieve (age 7) and Evelyn (age 5); and Aunt Polly or Poppy to many nieces and nephews, including Marvin, Craig, Wayne, Clay, Michael, Paul, Eric, Noah, Julie, Kimberly, Kelley, Billy Wayne, Wendy and Carey.
After graduating from McKinney High School in McKinney, TX, in 1970, Polly spent 27 years in the banking industry, continuously advancing her skills with courses at East Texas University, Texas Tech University and Richland College. She transitioned into a successful career in Property Management beginning in 1997 with Lincoln Property Company and finished her career at the VUE, where she built a community as close as family. Polly leaves behind many dear friends, including Doris “Darcy” Streu, Aaron Martin, Luisa Parra Paz, Tyler and Samantha Leppard, Trey Stapleton, Sandi Chapman and Denise Richmond.
Polly was fiercely independent and she loved her friends and family deeply. We take comfort in knowing that Polly is now at peace surrounded by light.
To honor Polly, the family plans to hold a Celebration of Life, led by her life-long friend, Rev. Brenda Weir, on January 22, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX.
