Ralph Gomez Mendoza, 79, of Ennis, Texas, was called Home on December 15, 2020. We were all blessed when he was born to Soledad G. Mendoza and Oscar “Jimmy” Mendoza on April 13, 1941. He attended school at St. Anne’s Catholic School, and graduated from Crozier Tech in 1959.
In 1969, he met the love of his life, Yolanda. In 1990, they made Ennis, Texas their home, and celebrated 50 beautiful years together raising their family.
Ralph began his career as a typesetter. After much success in the bindery industry, he was transferred to Houston in 1973. In 1979, he returned to Dallas, and began working for Bowne of Dallas. Through his career with Bowne, he was able to travel the world, with Yolanda ever at his side, and after 20 years, retired as an Instructor.
Ralph is preceded in death by his parents; son, Adam Ralph; son-in-law Paul Morgan; grandkids Belinda Nicole and Jacob Caz; and, brother, Rudy Mendoza.
Ralph is survived by wife, Yolanda; daughter Monica and husband Dean; daughter Elena; daughter-in-law Lisa and fiancée Michael; son Marty and wife Bertha; son Adrian and wife Carmen; son Joel and wife Lanette; daughter Maria and husband Marcus; first wife Mary Jo Zapata Gunckel and husband Jim; sister Mary Duron and husband Porfirio; brother Oscar and wife Judy; sister Dorotea Martin; 24 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and, numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family members and friends.
Ralph’s sense of humor, story-telling of the old days, and gut-busting laugh will be greatly missed.
Pallbearers are Luis Peña, Oscar Mendoza, Miko Mendoza, Marco Mendoza, Raymond Peña, Christopher Brooks; and, Joshua Mendoza; and, Honorary Pallbearer is Jimmy Mendoza & Enoch Diaz IV.
