Born in Cuba, Ramon and his wife Ana witnessed the political unrest in Cuba. Wishing for a better life for their children, they fled the country in 1962 and the entire family eventually became naturalized. The Infante family came to Dallas and was sponsored by the Reverend Dr. Fred Edgar and the wonderful members of the Oak Lawn Methodist Church. Despite having to learn English and the customs of a new country, Ramon worked his way up to a management position and retired from The Cullum Companies after 35 years of distinguished service.
Family, and especially Ramon’s dear, departed wife, Ana, were the most important things in his life. He leaves behind 5 children: Ramon M. and wife Patty; Frank and wife Odette; Juan and wife Nancy; and daughters Grisel and Ana V.; Grandchildren Ramon A, Monica, Tacy, Nathan, Andria, Kenny, John Cody, Tommy, Daniel, Kyle, and Tedi; and great-grandchildren Alexia, Griffin, Samantha, Charlotte, Brynnley, Collyns and Maxwell. To say that our Abuelo made an impact on our lives and will be sorely missed does not begin to explain the kindness and selflessness of the man.
The family will receive friends from 4-8PM on Thursday, February 12, at the North Chapel of the Calvary Hill Cemetery Mausoleum. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, February 13, at the North Chapel with entombment to follow.
Lelo, te adoramos! Que vayas con Dios y Nana!
