It saddens me to have lost a great brother. Reg was someone I came to know on the campus of Grambling State University as an aspirant of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity back in the late 80s. It was great to have seen him at one of our Grambling DFWMetro Alumni Chapter meetings a little more than a year ago. Reconnecting with him reminded me of old times on the yard with Chalk, Kurt, Hump, Jeff, Ken, Courtland, Byron, Mike, and others who I call, "OLD SCHOOL!" Reg seemed to be the quietest of ALL of them though (at least to me). I looked up to Reg because he wasn't just a Brother, he was a FRIEND; one with sound wisdom who was always willing to give great advice. It seemed so right that he was a Firefighter; one who was willing to risk his life to save others because that's just who he was.
Family, I want you to know that I'm praying for you. There is NO SORROW that Heaven can't feel. Know that all of Reg's GSU Friends and Fraternity are here for you ALWAYS. We have a bond that even death cannot break! I LOVE YOU DEARLY.
Wow! Life is short! Gonna miss you Frat!

Reggie was my Capt at 29’s before I retired from DFR. We had many late night talks at the station since I was a night owl and he would do his wash at night. He joins a number of other DFR members that I can’t believe are gone. Though no longer with DFR now, just knowing someone is gone that you sat down at the dinner table with and made runs with is gone, hits you very hard. RIP my brother.
