Regino was born on April 20, 1951 in Ejido Santa Apolonia; Tamaulipas, Mexico to Manuel Lara Fernandez and Catalina Salas De Riojas. He was a welder by trade for 36 years until he retired in 2011. Even after he still managed to find something to build or fix. Regino was an honest man, so humble and loving to everyone he met. Always putting others before himself, such an incredible man who will truly be missed.
Regino is survived by his wife, Blanca Estela Lara; his four children, Felipe Lara Sr, Regino Lara Jr, Veronica Lara, and Monica Lara. His siblings Maria Munoz, Manuela Lara, San Juana Lara Perales †, Felipe Lara †, Jorge Lara Sr, Humberto Lara, Jose Manuel Lara, and Francisco Lara. Regino will also be fondly remembered by his 9 grandchildren, Sonia Alexis Alcala, Felipe Lara Jr., Graciela Lara, Abigail Victoria Alcala, Valeria Elyssa Rodriguez, Stephanie Lynette Lara, Isabella Suzanna Rodriguez, Matthew Alexander Santoyo, and María Magdalena Celeste Lara. His son-in-law Victor Manuel Villarreal, and daughter-in-law’s Monica Reyes-Lara and Nohemi Gonzalez. Along with many nieces and nephews, as well as loved ones.
The funeral is scheduled for 2:00 pm at Laurel Land Funeral Home, with a reception to follow at Amvets Post No. 22 at 3900 West Davis St. Dallas, TX 75211. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Regino’s beautiful life.
The family has requested to please refrain from wearing black to the funeral, we ask you wear white or blue. White for Lung Cancer Awareness or blue which was his favorite color.
