

Rheau was born on September 9, 1935 in Dallas, TX to Grace Mae and Jesse Cecil Duncan. She attended Trinity Heights Elementary School and graduated from Adamson High School in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas. She continued her education at Arlington Junior College in Arlington, TX and later earned her teaching degree from Sam Houston State University.
Rheau began her teaching career in 1957 at T.L. Marsalis Elementary School and taught at several schools throughout her distinguished career. Teaching was her passion, and she maintained relationships with many former students for more than 30 years after they left her classroom. The lasting connections she built are a true testament to her character, dedication, and genuine care for her students. Her teaching career spanned 44 years, touching countless lives along the way.
Following her retirement, Rheau and her husband Jim, enjoyed traveling together and creating treasured memories. Cruising became their favorite way to explore the world. They often included their grandchildren on family vacations to destinations such as Disneyland, Tennessee, Lake Tahoe, and California. As the family grew, their great-grandchildren joined in on adventures to Hawaii, Lake Tahoe, California, and many more of the country's most beloved amusement parks. These trips created lasting memories that spanned generations.
After Jim passing in May 2013, Rheau continued her love of travel with her daughter Gina. Together they embarked on remarkable adventures that seemed to become more exciting with each journey. From enjoying food,drinks, bingo, and slot machines aboard cruise ships to zip-lining in New Zealand, admiring the tulips of Denmark, and visiting the Ice Bar in Amsterdam, the two shared countless laughs and unforgettable experiences. Their greatest joy was simply spending time together and making memories that would last forever.
Above all, Rheau was a devoted wife to Jim, a loving and engaged mother to Mark and Gina, a dedicated teacher and mentor, and a proud grandmother and great-grandmother. Family was at the center of her life, and she cherished every opportunity to celebrate, support, and encourage those she loved.
Rheau is survived by her son Mark Pennington of Aurora, CO (Theresa), her daughter Gina Miller of Jenks, OK, her brother John C. Duncan of Dallas, TX. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Kendra Fernandez (Jesse) of Budapest Hungary, Brent Holmes (Angela) of Wann, OK, Andrea Davis of Owasso, OK, Gina Forman of Owasso, OK, and Kelly Pennington (Carlos) of Americana Brazil. Her cherished great-grandchildren include Devin Holmes of Poteau, OK, Gracee and Kason Foreman of Owasso, OK, Corbin and Mina Fernandez of Budapest Hungary, Alistair Huffman of Owasso, OK, and Jaxen Rains of Owasso, OK.
Rheau was preceded in death by her husband Jim Cramsey, her parents Grace Mae and Jesse Cecil Duncan, and her sister Myra Duncan.
Rheau's legacy lives on through the many lives she touched as a teacher, friend, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. she will be remembered for her kindness, adventurous spirit, unwavering love for her family, and the countless memories she created with those fortunate enough to know her.
