Ricardo Rodriguez Moreno, a man of quiet strength, deep kindness, and unwavering faith, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026. He was 79 years old.
Ricardo spoke through his actions rather than his words. He was a true walker of faith, leading his life as an example of compassion, forgiveness, and generosity. He never met a stranger, possessing a warmth that invited everyone he encountered into his circle. A gifted cook who delighted in the joy that food brings to others, Ricardo’s greatest happiness was often found simply sitting down to a meal shared with those he loved.
In September 2025, Ricardo began his final chapter, moving to Dallas to reside with his daughter, Cynthia, and her husband, Gerardo. Surrounded by a home filled with devotion, he spent his remaining time enveloped in the care, encouragement, and love of his immediate family. It was a profound honor for Cynthia, Gerardo, and his youngest son, Gerardo, to support him through this season of life. They ensured his days were marked by dignity, comfort, and the security of knowing he was deeply cherished.
Ricardo is survived by his devoted family in Dallas: his daughter, Cynthia, and her husband, Gerardo Valdez, along with his faithful grandpup, Scrappy; his son, Gerardo; his son, Edgar, and his children Kayla, Marissa, and Jakob; his son, Jorge, and his daughter, Emma; and his nine beloved great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his six brothers and two sisters, who hold fond memories of his life.
He is also survived by his wife, Magdalena, and her daughters and their families: Mariza (Rachid), Claudia (Erick), Adriana (Christian), and four grandchildren.
Ricardo’s legacy is not just in the years he lived, but in the love he poured into his family and the example of faith he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit remains a guiding light to those who had the privilege of walking by his side.
