

Dr. Richard Eusanio, 72, of Garland, Texas died on Saturday, February 17, 2018, after his battle with cancer. He was born November 15, 1945 in Youngstown, Ohio to Silvio and Marie Elvira Eusanio of Italy.
An exemplary student, he achieved an undergraduate degree attending Kent State University and Ohio State University, and his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine.
He married the love of his life, Judith Kinnaird Eusanio, on July 9, 1971. Love at first sight, they were engaged in a few months and celebrated 46 years of marriage, enjoying the family and life they built together.
Richard led a distinguished career in podiatric medicine practicing 44 years in Dallas and Mesquite, Texas. Beloved by his patients and esteemed by his colleagues for his compassion, professionalism and expertise.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus of Dallas where he served his community. He enjoyed learning new languages, was an accomplished cook and musician, playing the clarinet and organ, and was a movie enthusiast. However, he found the most joy in surrounding himself with his family proudly celebrating Italian traditions and life’s milestones with his wife, children and precious grandchildren.
Survived by his wife, Judith Eusanio and his children, Michelle Eusanio Holmes, husband Josh and daughter Elyse (14 months) Holmes, son Richard Eusanio, Jennifer Eusanio Clark, husband Mike and children Mikey (11), Sophia (8), and Claire (4) Clark, Mike Eusanio, Caitlin and son Samuel (6) Eusanio, Laurie Eusanio Whitfield, husband Daniel and children Jackson (6), Abigail (3) and Oliver (6 months) Whitfield. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents; his sister Betty and two brothers Sam and Bob; now reunited in heaven.
The visitation is from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, with a rosary at 7:30pm. The funeral service will follow the next day at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 6306 Kenwood Ave, Dallas, TX, 75214. Father John Libone will be officiating. A reception with the family to follow in St. Anne’s Hall. The burial will be at Sparkman Hillcrest Memorial Park at 3pm.
