Richard L. Humphries

Richard L. Humphries, age 91, of Dallas, Texas passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022. Richard was born on September 15, 1930, to Gladys and Floyd Humphries. Born and raised in Dallas, Richard retired from Foley’s department stores after 41 years. He served in the Navy Reserves from 1948 to 1955. On March 14, 1965 Richard was received into the Catholic Church, remaining faithful to the Lord and to his vocation of family the rest of his life. He was very active at St. Philip the Apostle Church in Dallas and was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus Council 799. Richard is survived by his wife of 72 years, Mary Jo Humphries, his four children, Glenda Humphries, Ricky Humphries and his spouse Cindy, Stacy Winkler and her spouse John, Kelli Chadbourne and her spouse Peter, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Dallas, TX. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Rowlett, TX at a later date.
