Rickey SORIA, 43, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2022 in Dallas, Texas. He was born September 16, 1978 in Dallas, Texas to Homer and Ann. Rickey was raised in Oak Cliff and graduated from Townview, School of Business and Management in 1997.
In his spare time, Rickey enjoyed spending time with friends and loved ones, playing video games, watching movies and watching sports such as football, baseball, boxing and wrestling.
His family and friends will always remember him as a person that could be count on when needed. He would drop everything to help anyone in need. He was one of the nicest persons you could meet. He made friends everywhere he went.
He is preceded in death by his "Popo" Pete Lopez; grandparents Guadalupe Sr. and Genoveva Soria; uncle, Daniel Reyes; and his best friend, George Guerrero.
He is survived by his daughter, Desiree Soria; mother, Ann Garibay; father, Homer Soria; brothers, Andrew Soria, Omero Soria; sisters, Rebecca Soria, Jessica Garibay; grandmother (Maternal) "Momo" Anita Lopez; step-sisters, Amanda Gaucin, Nancy Gaucin; grandson, Joseph Lule; numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, and friends he loved very much.
A visitation for Rickey will be held Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home and Crematory, 3050 N STEMMONS FWY, DALLAS, TX 75247. A rosary will occur Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, 3050 N STEMMONS FWY, DALLAS, TX 75247. A funeral service will occur Friday, April 22, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, 3050 N STEMMONS FWY, DALLAS, TX 75247. An interment will occur Friday, April 22, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220.
Rickey will be laid to rest in Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220-3338; OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE III; Lot: 106C, Grave: 2.
