Rigoberto “Rigo” Vasquez Rubio, 81, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, March 23, 2014. Rigo was a loving and caring father, husband, grandfather, uncle and friend to all. He was born in Guadalajara, Mexico to Alberto and Concepcion on May, 12, 1932. Rigo started his own successful commercial paint and body shop at a young age. He worked hard and finally retired in his mid seventies. Once retired, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing bingo and taking walks around his neighborhood with his dog, Rocky. Rigo is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Delia; son, Albert; daughters, Stephanie and Mary Ann; daughter-in-law, Maria; sons-in-law, Jim and Robert; his loving grandchildren, Vincent, Stefanie, Rebecca and other extended family. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Calvary Hill Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m.
