Robbie Ernestine Vertel was born November 28, 1923 in Wills Point, TX to Wylie O. and Allie Belle Martin Massey . Robbie became a Christian in the 1930’s and she graduated from the Wills Point schools in 1941. She married Harold Vertel in 1976. Robbie was an exceptional cook who knew many chefs around the world. Robbie passed from this life on March 15, 2010. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold, parents, and sister, Lucille. She is survived by son, Jerry Adams, twin brother, Eugene Massey and wife Ruth of Wills Point, brother, Felix Massey and wife Dolores of Wills Point, two nieces and two nephews, and a host of loved ones and friends. Visitation will be held today, from 12:30 pm- 1:30 pm, at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, with the graveside following at 2:00 pm at Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
