Bob graduated from Omaha North High School and received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He was married to Maureen Adams on January 25, 1953 and they enjoyed more than 50 years of marriage. Together they moved from Omaha, to Arlington Heights, Illinois before settling in Dallas. Bob had a long career in management working for Western Electric (now AT&T) before his retirement. He was known throughout his career as Department Chief but also as “Friendly Bob”.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and continued to be a patriot throughout his life. Bob was an avid golfer and was a past president and board member at Eastern Hills Country Club. He had a great personality, a wry sense of humor and met friends everywhere he went. He will be missed by many.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Maureen Adams, and is survived by their children Robert Adams, and wife Mercedes; Larry Adams, and wife Nancy; Nancy Terrell, and husband Brian; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
