Robert E. Bevier

Robert “Bob” Bevier, 97, of Plano, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2026.  Bob was born in Redford Township, Michigan on September 30, 1928, to Frank and Marguerite Bevier.  He was a longtime resident of Irving, Texas where he worked in sales in the air-conditioning industry for many years.  Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army, in both World War II and the Korean War.  He was deeply involved in his church, as well as numerous civic and community activities.  He was a lifetime member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and served as Vice President and longtime member of the University of Dallas Serra Club.  Bob devoted many hours to serving his community as a volunteer with Irving Cares and a Board member at Irving Community Hospital.  He was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed fishing, Dallas Cowboys football and listening to classic country music.  Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Ramona; and his brothers, Frank Bevier of Michigan and Don Bevier of Tennessee.  His is survived by his daughter, Jeanne Botts and husband, Michael Botts; granddaughters, Lauren Stringer and husband, Trevor, Katherine Betanzo and husband, Michael; four great-grandchildren; and nieces Anne Goin of Kentucky and Lisa Groff of Tennessee.  The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Prestonwood rehab for the loving care they provided to Bob during the last few years of his life.  Bob will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his faith, his country and his community, as well as for the many lives he touched through his service and friendship.  Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.calvaryhilldallas.com for the Bevier family.
