

Robert Paul Hammel, 67, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully. Born on March 21, 1958, in Woodbury, New Jersey, Robert lived a life defined by his dedication to his work, his love of music, and his strong connection to family.
Robert was preceded in death by his beloved spouse, David Weaver, and his father, Richard James Hammel and brother, James Norman Hammel, He is survived by his mother, Lois Storch Hammel, and his twin brother, John Charles Hammel, and wife, Sharon.
He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Christopher Hammel, Sara Karner (Kevin), Candace Wortman (Zachary), Jesse Hammel, and Lauren Clouse (Doug). He is further survived by cousins Jane Adams (Craig) and Carol Sue Weinhardt, whose husband Bob preceded her in death.
Robert's love of music began early. He proudly participated in the Forest Hill High School Marching Band in West Palm Beach, Florida, and continued that passion as a member of the marching band at the University of Florida while attending college. He remained a devoted supporter throughout his life, faithfully following University of Florida sporting events and band performances.
He graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Computer Programming and went on to build a successful career, contributing his talents at Shands Hospital, Levi Strauss, and CSX Railway until his retirement.
Robert will be remembered for his quiet strength, steady presence, and the care he showed to those around him.
